According the officially published figures, Russia is the largest forest country in the world, which houses about 22% of the world forests. Just for comparison, the next largest forest countries own: Brazil – 16%, Canada – 7% and US – 6% of the world’s forest cover. Not trusting very much in Russian official data, we estimate these figures do reflect in some extends more or less real proportion.
