'Forest Certification Center'
The courses were organized by a non-commercial partnership 'Forest Certification Center'. The audience was formed of the top-managerial staff of the five largest enterprises in Primorsky Territory, which were parts of the holding company 'Terneyles'. Majors subjects considered:
The teaching staff consisted of highly-qualified specialists of the leading organizations of the region: Far Eastern Institute for Forest Science and Researches, Institute of Economic Researches, Department for Natural Resources and Mining Industry at the Administration of Khabarovsk region, Regional Social 'Fund of Wild Animals', Khabarovsk regional ecologic social organization 'Ecodal'.
All the participants in form of questionnaire gave a high appraisal of the novelty of the educational materials, quality of teaching, usefulness of lectures and practical trainings.

On the 12th-16th of March, 2001 in Khabarovsk were held the first educational courses within the program of qualification improvement of specialists in the field of logging and forestry. They were called 'Steady management of forest resources and forest use in the Russian Far East'.
The major part of the educational course was dedicated to the practical training, which took place at a demonstration site situated on the territory of Khehtsir experimental forest company.
Upon completion of education each of the trainees received the certificate of completion of the given course, a set of special methodical and reference literature on the subjects of certification, steady management and forestry, as well as computer programs on the subjects of forest management and forest use and consultations on installation of the above-mentioned programs at the logging companies.
